Up for bids is this vintage camera lens originally owned by NASA. This lens model was and still is, highly regarded for it's performance.
This lens was dispensed from the NASA Glenn Research Center. While the history of this particular lens being sold is not known, it has a unique mount bracket made for it. The rear of the mount has two set of threads. The aluminum mounting plate has a locking screw on it, which, doesn't seem to do anything as it is still possible to focus the lens and open/close the aperture whether the screw lock is tightened or not. The focus is smooth and the aperture is working well.
This lens has scratch free glass front and rear. The aperture leaves show wear, but no oil. Possibly some particles of dust inside, but no fungus. Barrel and mount have wear, and some paint loss on the front. Photos show all sides.
